24 HOUR NACHO.

January 29th, 2008

It's 11:40 pm and I'm starving so I'm off to 24 Hour Nacho to grab some of their legendary grub. If you've never been there then you definitely have to check 'em out because their food is bomb. And while most call would call them nachos I call them a "heart attack" because anything this good has to be bad for you. Trust me.

WEEKEND IN REVIEW.

January 29th, 2008

latin-lover-2.JPG

If you know the Latin Lover from Power 106, then you already know that he's a major crack up. He offers hood advice men and women out on the block and he not only offers great advice but also provides some major comic relief. As a matter of fact, Power 106 needs to already give him his own damn show. So if you haven't heard of him then ask around because this dude is a certified genius.

Tu posted up besides the BHC '64 that we let him borrow. Nahhh man….we're just playing. LOL…if you know Tu you already know that he reps BHC as well as the Los Angeles Car Club. Big ups to the homie for doing this thing.

Now that's a site to see. Even the weekend rain didn't put a damper on us getting to work and coming out to kick it with the homies. Speaking of rain. Why does Snoop Dogg carry an umbrella? For the drizzle mah nizzle. LOL!…..OK, corny but we just had to try.

Adrian looking over at Midget thinking…."Dayum homie, you call that a diet?" This was shot over at Max's of Manila in Glendale. Midget had never eaten Filipino food so you know we had to take him to the spot to grub. We're just hoping that is damn pancreas didn't act up from all that oil.

This is what John had to stare at the whole way up to Glendale.

…and you already know.

Ran across this photo of Charlie Row Campo rockin some of our latest tee's. They've been been down with us for quite some time they're true to it…not new to it.  Photo by Echosworld Photography.

HOW MANY GUNS DOES THIS GUY HAVE? GUESS.

January 25th, 2008

I love how this educational training video clearly shows you just how many guns you can actually carry with the right pair of pants.

COP GETS OWNED.

January 23rd, 2008

I'm suprised the cop didn't order the cat to "GET DOWN ON THE FLOOR!" LOL….actually. I might just want to adopt this cat for cop control.

ALMOST GAFFLED….

So the homie Ricky ran into a little trouble over the weekend but at least he was wearing the right shirt. LOL. To top it off, when they released him the one officer tried to yank him for his watch and his Bighouse LA hoodie. I guess you can't blame the cop for trying and if anything he's got good taste!

PUTTIN’ IN WORK.

January 19th, 2008

500.jpg

For the past few days, we've been up early and staying up late polishing off designs and working on the final details for a few new projects that we'll be launching really soon. From new shirts, to limited edition collabo tee's, we've been slammed with work and interestingly enough we were even contracted by a very well known advertising firm over in NYC.

For this particular gig, the agency wanted us to create a viral marketing campaign that would reach the streets as well as the new genre of young money. The campaign was created as part of a private event being assembled to promote a new set of limited edition timepieces crafted by one of the industries oldest and most respected watch brands in the game - and NO we're not talking Jacob & Co. (LOL)

To make a long story short, we submitted our concepts and at the end of the day the deal was sealed effortlessly.  While many skeptics were positive that we'd never land the deal, little did they know that we have a real connection with the streets as well as an in-house designer that also happens to be a two-time Clio Award Winner. How's that for gangsta?

But in all honesty, the connection we have with the streets is real and something that's been built by our belief in loyalty and respect. We do good business, treat everyone with respect and promote a level playing  field that's void of immaturity, hating and jealousy. The bottom line is that we're grown ass men that are true to the streets - and not new to it - and we do business the right way.

We believe in giving back, but don't take our kindness for weakness because at the end of the day we will come snatch you up off the streets. Please believe.

310 WEST ON THE GRIND.

January 16th, 2008

img00013.jpg

If you follow the Latin rap scene then the name Spanky Loco and the Real 310 West is sure to ring a bell. They're probably the most heavily marketed independent label on the map and everywhere they go they have a loyal and wild fan base. From Japan to Spain, Spanky has created an infantry of fans that'll stop at nothing to catch his new heat and we caught up with the homie lastnight over at the studio droppin' some new tracks. He's been a loyal supporter of BHC from the get go and we wish him nothing but the best.

GIVING BACK….

We were rummaging through some old hard drives when we ran across this photo session from an event we sponsored a little while ago. The event, which was called "For the Children" - was put together for the terminally ill children of Long Beach Memorial Hospital and as always we were down to help out.

If there's one thing that we truly believe in, it's the understanding that giving back to the community is priority number one. Making money and doing the daily grind is great but there's nothing that feels better than putting a smile on a child's face. From donating money, to bringing out cars and helping coordinate and setup events, we'll do what we can to extend a lending hand.

Manny brought out his lifted Hummer H2 and it was safe to say that it lifted a lot of spirits.

Jame's Ferrari 360 Modena. At BHC we'll always set aside time to give back to the kids. Hit us up if you have any charity programs or outreach programs.

Priceless.

These are the kind of events that'll make you truly appreciate what you have.

Handing out some grab bags to the children that were too ill to make it outside to the event.

VENICE BEACH SUNDAY.

January 13th, 2008

dsc01227.JPG

Today I took a trek out to Venice Beach where I caught some breakfast with Danny Trejo, the homie Eric as well as the John from Heavy Hitters. Danny showed us this new breakfast joint called "Venice" and the breakfast was the fuckin' bomb. Of course, no breakfast tradition with Danny would be complete without splitting a full stack of banana pancakes on top of a regular breakfast order.  Check out the old school Bighouse shirt that Danny's rockin….a true O.G. collectors piece.

dsc01232.JPG

Funny to think that this used to be a Hells Angels hangout back in the 70's. You're probably asking how the hell I know this piece of information since I was still a baby but that piece of historical information came from Danny who's a long time veteran of Venice Beach.
